I just realised a way to make this appear in only the relevant forums by making it an announcement in those forums and copying it there. This requires a little bit more maintenance then it would as a global post, but it is my belief that this extra maintenance will be an irregular occurrence.

As such, the extra work generated by copying an edit to two other posts will be minor compared to how much work it would be to make phpBB display the topic in a specific subset of forums. Additionally, having the topic as a global announcement in OOC forums is confusing so I believe in the end this is the best solution.

I also locked the topics so any discussion for new or changed conventions can take place in the General Discussion forum rather than the global topic.

What do people think (I can easily change it back if you all prefer)?

It now spams the news page, but I think it is good that you have this topic on every form section where it is relevant.

Right, that was a bug as well. Adding it to the list and thanks for re-reporting!

Edit: it looks like it is no longer a bug, but it does spam the news feed. I am going back to my grade school to ask for my money back as apparently I can't read properly yet ^_^
