Hiocan Society Minor World?

As far as I know the Hiocan society has not yet become a Minor World: I've not seen a please check request, and the Chancellor has not yet announced their new status.

Therefore, I have switched them to 'Protectorate' for the time being, and I have not counted them as an abstention in the latest vote ([ Senate ] Emergency senate meeting: Slave Rebellion refugees! <Vote>).

If my assumption is incorrect, I would request that such status changes are announced explicitly both OOC and IC, as they have some impact on the political situation.

Mercurius said in the faction builder post that it looked good.
And I was waiting for him to make it officiel.
I have build a senator and was already making a speach, as I am not good in that.

You should officially request a change of status IC. The Chancellor can not read the mind of your faction... (if it even has a faction-mind...)

Some miscommunication, my fault as I was indeed awaiting a post - regardless, I have made a post with the Chancellor!

First off: I want to welcome Stuiter to the list of politically active players. Though we do not yet have enough of them: Hurray!

I do have two points, on which you might wish to think for a bit:

You are aware that sector 9 -3 is outside of the usual starting area? This won't be a problem, but might hinder your development should you later choose to become an Inner World.

If you upload a 300x300 image of your senator to the wiki (i.e. replace ic:harek.png with a larger version), you can use character avatar as image on the forum. (You can fill the image location in User Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit Avatar the 'Link off-site' field... it's a bit of a misnomer)

Even better, once you add a logo to your faction, you can use representative avatar, and the logo will automatically be added to your senator's avatar. (This image won't work if you don't have a logo. This will be fixed some time in the future, but for now, just use the other links until you found a logo that makes you happy.)

We're glad to help out with the creation of a logo, the blazonry tool can be a bit overwhelming at first.

A note: both links can also be found in the character template: below the Age field is a (Forum avatar: character | representative) thingy.

Thanks for the tips I will adjust this.
I was not aware of the disadvantage being out of the area.

I have made a blazonry entry for the Hiocan society (I already promised Stuiter I'd help with that, but I hadn't had a chance to finish it earlier)

Lo and behold; http://fwurg.xs4all.nl/images/special/representative/ic:harek/183x183.png is suddenly working.

If Stuiter would kindly use this as her Senator's avatar.

@Mercury: I'll look into having the error messages removed, and returning a 'no-user' image when it doesn't work.
