Mole in the Ministry of Defence

As you can see in the Jedi-post of my mission:
https://www.fwurg.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3184
I introduced a mole in the ministry of defense as a partial reason for a mission. I have an idea how to handle this in the story, but I don't want to implicate a PC character or race without the players consent, can I implicate a PC or NPC from somebody or can I create a member of a specific nation within the ministry of defense?

There might be political rebound if a traitor is discovered for the race involved, that is why I ask that.
(If so, please PM me or respond here.).

I strongly disapprove of this idea, and suggest that you don't start placing moles and such in ministries without exceedingly careful thinking and discussion with other STs.

Yeah you are right, that's the side of forum roleplay I did not take into account. That is why I posted this question, I will otherwise find another reason.

There are other options.

I suggest simply making the information more vague, that way it's not necessary to place an insider into the ministry of defence.

I suspect that you did not intend for this conclusion to suddenly pop up, so simply making the message more vague makes sure Tera does not draw these conclusions, and you would not be forced to seek out a way to get a mole to make your message logical.

Or you did intend for the mole to be there, but forgot to check with other STs?

I intended there to be a mole or something that provides information to the slave rebellion from within the union (Like a satellite, or maybe a mole within the Navy of the Union). I did not realize that it had to be someone in the government, because of the time-frame and the secrecy.

Maybe a drone or two that were simply watching the fleets themselves? That would explain the information and the time-frame, and is very Star Warsy?

Clearly, if three union fleets suddenly leave, they are heading for Remunzia; so that information can simply be guestimated and presented as "known fact" ^_^ (Also, the drone solution prevents the problem of having to find a culprit within the ministry, thereby simply sidestepping the political issue of blame of this situation.)

Agreed. I will change the story accordingly. (and Master Screetors response to it.)

Ok. I'll wait a moment and tweak Tera's post if necessary.

As a side note: we have had several stories before where PC races, characters or worlds were involved tangentially. The best way to incoporate them is to get their player's approval beforehand via PM.
