We just wrapped up the story on Cooperation Promotion. I have examined the associated roleplay and the Influence Points rules, and have come to the following nominations. The nominations are first given in part, divided by action. Summation is found at the bottom of the post.

For "Actively participate in senate discussions that are part of a storyline" in [ Senate ] Pre-vote discussion on cooperation promotion (Yes, "discussion" is a bit of a stretch here, but you were all free to simply say something, instead of remaining completely silent):

Furthermore, I want to nominate the roleplay with my co-players Elmer and Dragonmaster352 in [ Djana Military Research Centre ] Presentation of ACA expertise and introduction of representative for review by an ST because it was an interesting thread that shows some of the differences in cultural and technical approaches to warfare between the astrians, teprogrenaians and veolians:

The first +2 is stretching the system. It simply wasnt a discussion. Denied.

The second part (+2 to the 5 factions) seems reasonable to me. Approved.

Finally I believe the last part is worth 1 for the Teprogrenaian Consensus, Veolian Commonwealth and Astrian Colonial Authority.

To be honest, I do not fully understand your dismissal of the first +2 .

I agree that it is not a discussion in the sense of the word that multiple parties interacted (under this definition of discussion, I agree that the +2 is stretching it). But it was clearly a discussion in the senate; the senate meeting was even called a "Discussion", clearly inviting everyone to participate; it was in fact even a discussion multiple factions had asked for.

You were all free to actually roleplay, which all of you opted not to do (even after asking for more discussions in the senate). In the past we have handed out to people joining the bandwagon and als posting two sentences in an ongoing discussion; why should we not hand out when someone actually puts forward an exposition of a faction's activities and a proposal?

Should it be so that because the other players OOCly did not feel like playing the Veolian Commonwealth ICly somehow gets less influence through their statements in the senate? Or, put in OOC terms: should it be true that because the others did not feel like roleplaying, I should somehow not get for actually roleplaying?

Does the fact that others opted not to roleplay in a senate discussion make my roleplay any less valuable, participatory, or influential?

This discussion has been on a standstill for a while now, and no new arguments or proposals have been made.

On the pre-vote discussion:

I understand Chriz' argument that there is no real "discussion" since only one post was made. However, I feel it is unfair to punish the Veolian Commonwealth for being the only participant in the event. I'm going to award the full 2 , because the post made is well reasoned and extensive and I want to reward that. I prefer setting the precedent that participation is rewarded even if no others join than the precedent that if nobody else joins in you get nothing.

On the Djana reward:

Everyone who voiced their views agrees on this, so this is approved.

On the Presentation of the ACA part:

The only proposal made awards of 1 for the Teprogrenaian Consensus, Veolian Commonwealth and Astrian Colonial Authority. Since there were no objections to this, I hereby approve this as well.

I should have reacted to this -way- sooner than I did, but as they say, better late than pregnant.
