I have put the final touches on the Sentient Rights Discussion story page. Please read and edit where needed. No end date is yet mentioned, but this will be remedied if we can agree on the distribution of .

Even with 2 months of silence on the sentient rights discussion thread, I do not think the Union has heard the last of that topic. Future effort can, and will, certainly be taken and some of the possibilities have been discussed in the OOC forum. Yet I think that we can start looking towards the IP nominations for the Sentient Rights Discussion story. If the discussion continues, we can always amend this proposal for .

I propose the following rewards, based on degree of activity in the Sentient Rights Discussion story:

As said in the debate on slavery nominations, this is for the whole Basic declaration of sentient rights discussion. The distinction between 1 and 2 is made by looking at the level of participation within the thread. The participants with only a single post in the thread were inspected further, and both the Praetorian Empire and the Sundarian Federation gave in-depth replies to the proposal, which I view as actively participating. The IO, though making an intersting point, did not engage in the discussion any further.

Given that this story is reactivated, I am going to hold off on putting the on the wiki to see if others are still getting involved!

With another hiatus of 1 month and 3 weeks the [ Senate ] Basic declaration of sentient rights discussion (links to current last post) has been dragging along now without any progress. The latest proposal by the veolian and teprogrenaians has not seen any reaction from the Senate.

I suggest we consider the discussion closed, hand out , and move on.

If someone wants to reinvigorate the discussion, a new discussion seems appropriate.

If no one objects within two weeks time, I'll update the wiki in the weekend of 9 and 10 January 2016.
