We had a whole story around the matter of slavery Debate on Slavery in the Union, drawing quite some participation of the FWURG players with it. Therefore I nominate the following:
Total:
Aside from this, there is also the Sentient Rights Discussion with the senater discussion and vote. However it is currently unclear what that status is about that part of the story, since the sentient right discussion has fallen silent.
As a result I cannot finish nomination around the slavery part of that story.

Reason: Linked to the new story page to make post more useful

I was planning on writing up the slavery related stories (yes, plural) this weekend ^_^
Since you only nominate for the private part (which is nowhere to be found on the story page by the way), I'll work on the public threads and polish the story pages a bit on saturday or sunday. (I've already started collecting the necessary information).
In other news: I have no problem with these nominations, but the story page needs to reflect the relevance of these private discussions.

I will try and also try to end discussion with new proposal of volunteer treaty.
Finding motivation is hard, but hope to get is done next week.

I wanted to nominate for the senate discussions and vote as well, but then I saw they were intertwined with the sentient right story which is not finished yet. Therefore I thought to nominate for those threads when the sentient rights discussion is done. Alternatively we can move some of the stories and threads around a little to make more comprehensive and closed stories.

That was exactly my plan ^_^
If you have time this weekend, it would be fun to do it together.
EDIT: I'm working on the story page for the slavery matter: It is now found at Debate on Slavery (since Anti-slave front did not fully cover the story anymore, due to assertive actions by the anti-slave worlds it turned into a debate ^_^) The rest of the work will be done later tonight.
I completed my work on the Debate on Slavery story page (previously known as the Anti-slave front). I propose that those interested read it and edit where needed (note that there is a separate Sentient Rights Discussion story). As the end of the vote seems to end the debate on slavery (or at least, the debate part of the story), I have added an end date to the story based on the vote.
Based on the story, I propose the following
distribution beyond what Elmer already proposed:
Including Elmer's proposed rewards, this would bring the totals to:
Rationale: The Compromising on the matter of slavery is not the longest or the most voluminous thread, yet I think that the relevance of the event for the relations within the Union warrants an increase to a baseline of 3
. Another argument for this is the fact that while Elmer clearly highlights the three most relevant private RPs, many smaller private roleplays between players are not acknowledged separately, giving this story a big bulk of hidden with the final senate discussion being the proverbial tip of the iceberg.
During the final discussion, good arguments were made by all participants, and the debate had a level of depth rarely seen on FWURG. When reading the thread, I find that there are five PCs matching the "Actively participate in senate discussions that are part of a storyline" (also supported by the analysis). In my opinion a single post does not match the definition of active participation, yet the IO Protocol and the Astai did participate. Because of the increased baseline, I feel that they both deserve some recognition for actually roleplaying in this debate.
This leaves the question of the role of (and the rewards for) the earlier parts of the Basic declaration of sentient rights discussion. Rereading that thread shows that the issue of slavery is mostly left in the background, with a few minor mentions of it before Nehket Aeka splits of a discussion with the specific purpose of discussing slavery. Because of this, I have put all
rewards for the sentient rights discussion in a separate IP nomination.
Based on the story, I propose the following
distribution beyond what Elmer already proposed:3
to the Hiocan Society based on active participation in the slavery debate
3
to the Sundarian Federation based on active participation in the slavery debate
3
to the Teprogrenaian Consensus based on active participation in the slavery debate
3
to the Astrian Colonial Authority based on active participation in the slavery debate
3
to the Veolian Commonwealth based on active participation in the slavery debate
1
to the Astai Republic based on active participation in the slavery debate
1
to the IO Protocol based on active participation in the slavery debate
Including Elmer's proposed rewards, this would bring the totals to:
4
to the Hiocan Society
3
to the Sundarian Federation
5
to the Teprogrenaian Consensus
4
to the Astrian Colonial Authority
5
to the Veolian Commonwealth
1
to the Astai Republic
1
to the IO Protocol

It looks good.
The sentient treaty signing can become new story.

I think the debate on slavery report covers the important basics and aspects :)
I'm going to put these
on the story page in the coming weekend (that of the 7th and 8th) unless objections are raised.
