In honour of the continuing Lightsaber Championship, and to lighten the load on storytellers and players alike, I have created a set of combat tags!

For round 0:
((Combat, round 0: Shii-cho))

Written as:
Code: Select all
[combat=0]Shii-cho[/combat]

For all other rounds:
((Combat, round 2: Action taken. ((Check: 10 = 10 -- foo))

Attack: 4 (:outer-attack) / 4 (:middle-attack) / 4 (:inner-attack) - Shii-cho+Lightsaber
Defence: 5 (:outer-defence) / 5 (:middle-defence) / 5 (:inner-defence) - Shii-cho+Lightsaber
  • Offensive advantage action: High ground
  • Offensive advantage action: Distracting droid
  • Defensive advantage action: Cover
  • Off-Balance
))

Code: Select all
[combat=2]Action taken. [check]10[total]10[notes]foo[/check]

[attack]4/4/4;Shii-cho+Lightsaber[/attack]
[defence]5/5/5;Shii-cho+Lightsaber[/defence]
[list]
[*] Offensive advantage action: High ground
[*] Offensive advantage action: Distracting droid
[*] Defensive advantage action: Cover
[*] Off-Balance[/list][/combat]

The round number is mandatory, and the whole thing won't work if you leave it out! The slashes and the semicolon (ie. the / and ;) in the attack and defence tag can not be changed into another symbol, as they are used by the forum to understand the ratings and display them nicely.

Note that the ratings are aligned for ease of reading.

I have not added these tags to the button bar, as they offer very little in the way of usefulness. I urge Mercury to just link this post in the Championship thread, so everyone has easy access (and his explanation of combat stat notations can be removed because this thread shows how to do it!)

It appears that people need to ctrl+f5 to get the new styling working. (I have no clue why it worked for me without that...)

So: refresh your cache!
