"Senator Konev, Lady de de Montrève. Thank you both for coming.", senator Nehket Aeka started.

The three senators are situated in a luxurious sitting room in the Veolian Embassy. Drinks and other refreshments are served by a pair of veolian women.

"As we've previously discussed, the Veolian Commonwealth is interested in starting up an Organics corporation. I hope to discuss the possibility of establishing a strong presence in the -industry.

Starting up such a corporation works best if we all synchronize our efforts: if each of our factions starts up an Organics corporation, we could exchange zones and double our production. Should you be interested in this, we should discuss the options available to us and a time frame."

[Senator Gregory Konev]

After taking a sip form his thee Konev replied. "Lady Nehket it is always nice to visit good comrades. Especially when they have good tea."

"And its even better then there are more good comrades to share the tea with." he said raising his cup to Lady de Montrève.

"I can tell you that Darya is still interested in starting this corporation our experience with mega flora will definitely be of good use to the corporation. Darya is ready to Invest in this as soon as zone 4 on Buran is complete. And yes exchanging zones seems a better idea to our economist it would be a waste to have to ship it all around when that is not necessary."

" We thank you indeed, Senator Nehket, for this kind inventation " the Lady de Montrève said while raising her cup of tea to join in a toast with Senator Konev.

" Our previous experience with a corporations of this scale have largely been beneficial and fruitful, thus our presence here to negotiate the formation of a new corporate collaboration in the fields of Organics.

Our economic projections suggest that a joint collaboration between our respective nations is an expensive endeavor, where the benefit from this corporation, on the Sundarian side, would depend greatly on the stability and a reasonable profitability of the long term sale of the excess organics.

Taking a bases of 3 corporate zones (which will require an investment of roughly 10500 ), which would provide us with 450 each, and our own use (currently 420 , with estimated growth of 180 ) , we would need to secure a reasonable deal for the excess 750 , in order to make this proposal economically viable and secure the majority of the Sundarian Senate in favor this deal. "

The Lady de Montrève let a short silence fall to stretch the importance of the large excess before continuing:

" On a more practical matter, while the shipping of information-type products over the Holonet is affordable and feasible; the shipping of these large amounts of is not, we would therefore be in favor of exchanging zones in order to resolve the need of shipping, assuming for the moment that we partake in this collaboration. "

"I understand the problem of surplus. However, a reliable source informed me that the Praetorian Empire's hunger for will soon grow.

Together with the option of selling surplus to the Miomanian Colonists for use in their Bacta production, and the real possibility of mass trade with another superpower, we are confident that we can profit from such a surplus."

Senator Nehket Aeka's aide entered the room, curtsied to the two foreign senators, and handed a slip of paper to the veolian senator.

"This does seem a good time to bring up another subject as well: colonization.", she said after reading the piece of paper.


"Although this is a long-term issue, the Veolian Commonwealth would like to be have the option of colonizing another system, or at least establishing an outpost. Therefore, I would like to inquire what your plans are in this direction."

"As colonization will most likely requires the migration of population, we propose a joint research project to be started as soon as possible, but at least in 54. In preparation for further expansion we would like to develop technologies allowing the migration of our people."

"We calculated that, with 4 participants and application of the tax reduction law for cooperative research, this would mean an investment of 50 per for a duration of 5 .

What is your position on colonization, and would you be interested in such a cooperation?"

" I understand the current development for colonization and the movement of large numbers of people, are still very new. " the Lady de Montrève started and signaled her aide to request some information.

" It is no secret that the Sundarian Government has decided that the option of a colony is worthwhile. However if we look our current targets to meet, the stable production of sufficient and the formation of an Corporation, our financial leeway is limited and we must therefore prioritice.

On the other hand, our production provides us with the opportunity to construct and maintain a survey fleet and thus provide the option for other interested factions to use our assests to search for a suitable location to establish a colony at a suitable location of their choice. "

Senator Peinailli de Montrève's aide entered the room, curtsied to the two foreign senators, and handed a slip of paper to her.

" Coinciding with the construct of our survey fleet, which we aim to complete around 60, we are currently considering several technological advances in this field, not the least place Sensor Vessel Technology, and several others concerning the construction of colonies and movement of population.

"Darya has no plans to go out to establish a colony. But we do wish to move some of our population to the other planets of our system. mostly because our population prefers lots of space. there have been plans to move people to the moons of Yasno and Okan."

[Nehket Aeka]

"It does, Lady de Montrève. There is much debate within the Imperial Council on the development of Kelwar, our largest planet. Because the planet is incapable of supporting life, construction is costly, and since the planet does not offer a significant benefit to industry, the option of colonization has been voiced.

Because of this the Veolian Commonwealth is interested in colonization as well, but we see it as a long-term investment. We would be happy to contract the Sundarian Federation for surveys and scans, should they be able to offer such services.

We should revisit the issue of colonization in a few weeks, when the Imperial Council has reached a decision.

Senator Konev, we would be happy to cooperate on the development of technologies that enable in-system migrations. We have determined that mass migration requires a significant amount of resources, and we would like to develop techniques and methods to reduce the cost of moving population to an acceptable level.

We could start development of the technology around 50, and wish to complete the technology within 5 of the start. If we cooperate, this would mean a commitment of 100 per for 5 . If we apply for tax reductions based on cooperative research, each of use would receive a 15 reduction every turn; effectively researching the technology for a cost of 425 each.

Would you be interested in cooperation on that timescale?"

[Lady Peinaili de Montrève]

" We should schedule a meeting in few weeks then, once the Imperial council has reached its decision on the matter. " the Lady de Montrève responded after hearing the reply from Senator Nehket Aeka, " We should then also be able to make a better estimation for the completion period of the Sundarian Survey fleet, and a time table for our own colonial wishes. At that point we can also make a start to map the interest of other factions, which might be included to make use of our fleet. "

" As for the point of a joint research project in to mass migration technology, we are interested, but for the moment it is difficult to project if we have sufficient financial means to partake. Much will depend on whether or not certain trade-agreement are either made or ended. "

[Senator Gregory Konev]

Konev summons is aid and some quick bursts in Vyzova later the aid takes off. "One moment lady Nehket while my aid double checks some things."

A few minutes later the aid comes flying back in and lands next to Konev says a few quick words and goes back to his previous position. "It seems that we are capable of doing such a research for 5 starting in 50."

"That is good to hear, Senator Konev. We will be happy to cooperate with the Unified Republic of Darya on this matter.

Lady de Montrève, would the Sundarian Federation agree to buy this technology at 1/3 of the research cost? This way we can start the development on our schedule, while still allowing the Sundarian Federation to benefit from this cooperation."

[Lady Peinaili de Montrève]

" Senator, " the Lady the Montrève replied after considering the offer, " that would indeed be a better solution to match our current tight financial position. 1/3 of the research costs in acceptable for us, while I cannot yet say when we would actually purchase this technology. "

[Nehket Aeka]

"Very well then. The Veolian Commonwealth shall cooperate with the Unified Republic of Darya to develop this technology. The Sundarian Federation will later be able to buy the technology at one-third of the development cost."

Senator Nehket Aeka stood up.
