[Chancellor Dewa Lanadi]

The chancellor smiled.

"The thing is... I am married. I am perfectly willing to make a similar commitment for appearance's sake, but it is my duty to visit my husband on Mirda every once in a while. I am sure you understand the demands one's family can place upon someone."

Dewa Lanadi's aide subtly asked the musicians and the waitress to give the two women privacy — the chancellor's aide is well-attuned to the hemet's telepathic emanations and was already aware of the chancellor's state of mind. The chancellor herself did not give the leaving of the musicians much thought.

"Shall we dance?", she asks after Daphne reacted to her explanation of her marriage.

Daphne had expected as much and appriciated the gesture the Chancellor was willing to make.

"I could be content with that," Daphne responded, "And yes.. a dance seems .. fun."

[Chancellor Dewa Lanadi]

"Don't worry, I know of a few ways to make it more fun", the chancellor replies she detects some hesitation in lady Daphne's voice.

"After all, this is a one-way window", she states smilingly as she pulls lady Daphne into her arms and onto the dance floor.

((OOC: I suggest that this is a nice moment to end this thread. Or to "close the curtains" for a moment, and skip ahead to the pool-side, if you want to continue this thread. My preference would be to simply open a new thread for the next conversation between the two ladies. (That way we can first make a nice gossipy news item, and update the wiki about our characters a bit ^_^)))
