"Welcome to the Sentient Union Beauty Pageant, where contestants compete to be called the most beautiful sentient in the Union! Each nation of the Union is allowed to send a single participant, which may be any sentient being that is a citizen of that member.

Participants are judged by their physical attractiveness, elegance, intelligence, talent and personality. The grand prize, besides being called the most beautiful sentient in the Union, includes a crown, sash and large cash award.

All contestants, besides their usual presentations, are asked to answer three questions:

1. What constitutes true beauty?
2. If you ruled the Union, what would you do to make it a better place?
3. If you would be isolated on an island, and given the chance to bring three things, what would you bring?"

Name: Axolotl

Race: Tadpole

Description: A roundly curved tadpole, with deep blue eyes, light freckles and well manicured red frills. Her transparent skin shows her internal organs, and her Flondor hang seductively from her Gnor.

Talent: Axolotl demonstrates her skill at juggling forks, keeping up to three of them in the air at the same time while balancing on one leg

Personality: Axolotl has always been a gentle creature, ever since she spawned and has been most merciful in consuming her brothers and sisters whole, rather than letting them suffer by eating part of them and letting them suffocate in their own blood. She hopes to one day be able to mercifully consume all sentient life.

Questions: 1) "True beauty is the ability to use science to reach inconclusive results."

2) If I ruled the Union, I would outlaw the consumption of parts of sentient beings. Eating the entire sentient being should become mandatory.

3) If I were to be isolated on an island, I would bring a toothpick, a bottle of ketchup and a napkin, in case it was inhabited by any wildlife.

Name: Lady Varisa-Mor Rioghain Surya

Race: Human / Veolian hybrid

Description: An image of perfect symmetry, with dark blue hair and elegant sweeping ears. Her softly glowing eyes and subtle facial markings show her father's side, while her unblemished and fair-tinted skin shows her mother's lineage.

Talent: Surya shows her mastery of yoga, sinuously moving from one stance into the next as she performs. As she does so, she seems to lose herself in the exercise, her face a vision of calm and serenity.

Personality: Surya has a strong sense of the natural order of things, demanding exact obedience from those below her and showing deference to those above her. Yet she acknowledges that ultimately everyone is born equal, and those below her station did not choose to be born this way, nor did those above her.

Questions: 1) "True beauty is to be aware of one's station and to envision rising beyond at any cost."

2) "If I ruled the Union, I would declare war on the Mandalorians. At no moment in the Union's history has their been more cooperation and shared direction than when we were at war with the Mandalorians. Their temerity all but demands their total subjugation -- Incidentally, all the attention focussed outward would help me cement my position as ruler of the Union.", she adds the last sentence with a smile.

3) "If I were to be isolated on an island, I would bring a towel, sunscreen, and an envirosuit."
