"The second sister dreamt of a blue city. A city where knowledge was shared equally with everyone. Where curiosity was encouraged and ignorance was cured.

A place where the gifted used their skills to aid in their protection and wisdom nurtured kindness."

"The youngest sister dreamt of a white plain. Beautiful and calm. Where everyone was kind to each other.

A place where the pure cared for the smart and the strong."

"The next morning when the sisters awoke from their sleep, they looked out the one small window in their cell. They saw the three star just having risen in a perfect horizontal line. Each at equal hight, non above the others.

The sisters where reminded of their dream.

When the guard came to take the sisters to their execution, they where not afraid. They where frustrated. Each of them silently vowed to realise their dream if they got out alive. And as if the world itself offered it's support, a ray of light blinded the guard.

The eldest sister leapt into action, jumping the guard. Managing to take the guards knife she killed him."

"They escaped the city and kept ran to a nearby forest. They kept running deeper into the forest and kept going until it was dark.

They spent the night in a clearing. They tried to get a fire going but failed. Cold, tired and hungry the three sisters huddled together. Then the second sister started laughing.

'Why are you laughing?' The other two asked.

'Isn't it obvious? We're still alive.' She said, grinning. It made the other two smile.

Looking up they went from smiling to being awestruck. For above them was a beautiful starry sky. They told each other about their dream."

"Astonished about the similarities of their dreams, the three sisters could only conclude it was a message from a higher being.

As the cold persisted the oldest two fell asleep. When the youngest tried to wake them they felt cold to her touch. She panicked. Her hunger, fatigue and the cold bringing her to tears.

Crying, she looked up at the stars and begged for her sisters lives, despite her own condition. A warm embraced her and a moment later the other two woke up. They each felt a warmth, like that of a loving mother's embrace."

"The middle sister realised they had been protected twice already. The youngest told the other two how she had begged the stars. Another realisation dawned on the middle sister.

As if to confirm her thoughts a new star appeared in the sky, one that shined bright. Dropping to her knees she thanked the divine mothers, quickly joined by the other two. They had realised the divinity of the stars.

Following the New born they continued with restored hope and renewed determination. When daybreak arrived they made it through the forest. A village in front of them, they walked the last part of their journey. They villagers greeted the sisters friendly and when fatigue and hunger finally took it's toll on the three of them, they helped them. They told the villagers their story, honestly and truthfully.

After they had regained their strength, the three found out about the hardships of the village."

"The village was poor and was being forced to pay tribute to a cruel court. The men had all been taken as tribute, for the village's farms could barely provide enough for the village to feed itself. Sickness and starvation where daily problems.

The villagers had kindly given the three sisters of the little food they had. The eldest told them she would help protect them. Gathering volunteers, she taught them what little she knew. It wasn't long before her knowledge of the martial arts was exhausted. But they kept training, learning by trial and error. Under the red star they became a strong group of fighters."

"The middle sister offered to assist them with their farms. She soon discovered the way the villagers farmed didn't make the most of the soil and the seasons. With her help and under her direction the farms were renewed. Under the blue star the crops prospered and the villagers learned how to improve their lives with knowledge."

"The youngest sister went to help the sick. The house where the sick laid was dirty, even the patients were filthy. So the first thing she started doing was wash the sick, changed their clothing and the sheets of their beds. Then she cleaned the house itself while caring for the sick. Under the white star the sick regained their health."

Ajava listened attentively.

Though she had no doubt that the tale itself was embellished, it still shines an interesting light on the Astrian faith.

((OOC: As the posting frequency of this thread has been exceedingly slow for about half a year now, might I suggest either wrapping it up, or writing the rest of the story in one go?))

"When the soldiers of the court came to collect more tribute, the village was prepared. Led by the eldest sister, the volunteers coloured the sky red with the blood of the soldiers.

They started gathering the bodies of those who perished, the Guardians of the Wall soon joined their efforts. One of the volunteers asked of the eldest sister: 'Why do we gather the enemy dead? Do they not deserve to rot?'

To which the eldest said: 'They fought and died with honour, even if their goal was not.'

One of the Guardians of the Wall approached them, holding a sword. The sword was covered in blood, but was never the less beautiful. The Guardian offered the eldest the sword. As they did a ray of light from the red sun hit the blade. The blood was absorbed by the blade and the steel turned bright red. The eldest took the sword and thanked the Guardian, then asked them if they would take the fallen back to their home. And so the Guardians did.

"As summer came near the followers of each sister became restless. The followers of the eldest argued they had protected the others and were there for entitled to rule over the others. The middles followers argued they had the knowledge to grow food and were there for crucial to the villages survival. The followers of the youngest merely wanted the arguing to stop, but were unable to do so.

The three sisters knew they would need to end the conflict or the village would probably not survive a full summer in the caves. But even they couldn't settle on which of their visions was the right one, so how could they convince their followers? Looking up the sisters saw the answer, for above them was one sky with three goddesses sharing it. The truth was in all three their visions together.

As the village started to move to the caves, the three sisters each took an oath and together they created a set of rules to which each of them should abide as closely as possible. And so the Covenant of the Divine Nova Triage came to be. Their faith carrying them through the summer. And so shall it be told, until the children of the goddesses have grown up."

Minoka sighed, sounding a little tired.

"May the goddesses light our Great Journey." Shiria and Amilia repeated the phrase.

"And may they embrace the weary traveller at their destination."

The Lady of Knowledge turned back to Ajava waiting for her to respond.

Ajava hadn't exactly learned what this Shishanote creature was, but that was apparently not the feature of this tale.

"Thank you for telling me this story.", Ajava replies.

"I am afraid that I do not have a story of my own people that has such gravity."

"Gravity?" Minoka said mockingly. "Please Miss Shebi, while this story may tell about the origin of the Divine Nova Triage, I would hardly call it gravituitous."

She shook her head.

"Truthfully, few people believe the things that we do. And we're not even certain of the accuracy of this story. The religious are a minority here. The Divine Nova Triage is the largest religion in the ACA, but even then we barely have a million followers. Though a lot more listen to what we say."

Minoka turned to Shiria. "Shiria, I need to speak with you." She then turned to Amilia. "Amilia, go to sleep. You've been awake the whole day."

Finally she turned back to Ajava.

"Come, let's leave the dead to their rest."

The four of them headed towards the exit. Before exiting the three High Priestesses turned around and knelled with bowed heads. After Ajava had followed their example, they exited and bid Ajava a pleasant stay. After which they left the Veolian woman by herself.
