The catwalk at the fashion show had been decorated with a forest theme and proudly announced in the program booklet that it had been built entirely out of recycled materials, no doubt related to the Remunzian-born organizers who had set it up. The visitors had a good view despite the surrounding plant life, however, and a large screen gave camera close-ups of the models as they strutted on the catwalk.

No doubt the fashion show would display not just the styles from Unity itself, but given the multi-cultural demographic, styles from all over the Union - and beyond - would also be on display here.

((OOC: Please feel free to take a moment and describe some of the clothing styles from your own worlds!

I will be avoiding posting images myself, because some races are very hard to find pictures for and I can never get exactly what I want, but if you do have images you feel are fitting, do feel free to display them!))

Liberty Line

Lena-Lena, is a gorgeous yellow Twi'lek wearing cargo-pants and a tank-top from the Liberty Line, inspired by the Slave Rebellion. Made of strong, fire resistant fabrics, her cargo-pants display a brown desert camoflage pattern to help her hide from the Hutt Families, while her matching tank-top leaves her belly and arms exposed to show off her shapely muscles. Her boots are recycled army boots and the spear and side-arm she carries is are original Vilour Weapon-shaped Accessories. The brown leather lekku coverings are made using traditional Highmonian leatherworking techniques and allow her to look gorgeous while abiding by her religious requirements for modesty!

Her boyfriend Xandrin, the hunky red-skinned Zabrak is displaying his muscular arms thanks to the Liberty Lines sleeveless black shirt. The word "Freedom", written on his back in white lettered galactic basic can be altered into whatever short political message Xandrin chooses at a moments notice thanks to the 'advertise yourself' technology integrated into the clothing. His breeches and army boots are both recycled from the military, and the munitions belt over his shoulder is by Ba' Dars Accessory Company.

The Liberty Line was made by Gren-Dus, and 10% of all sales go to support the Slave Rebellion.

Spacesuit Comforts

The shiny white plastics of Xilimi's form-fitting catsuit is designed to resemble the under-suit of a spacesuit, giving her an out of this world image as if she just returned from a mission. The zipper running up her back along the central symmetry line gives the illusion of greater length, while the black sections around the joints, accentuate her human curves. The slender gloves and boots are part of the one-piece outfit for the genuine space-suit experience that the Spacesuit Comforts line offers. Also available in black!

Burgun, our masculine Duros pilot, is displaying an orange flight-suit with black goggles that will make him stand out amongst the stars! The suit collar is lined with warm fur for emergency landings on icy worlds and the fabric breathes for maximum comfort. The attached gloves come with extra grip-lines on the fingers to allow for total control of whatever vehicle is being controlled. Also available in dark grey, navy blue and army green.

Spacesuit Comforts outfits can be made suitable for space for an additional fee, but helmets and life support systems are not included in the line. The line is copyrighted by Unity Cities own Mirachi of H'g.

Diplomatique Chique

The Rodian twins walking down the catwalk are Tina and Winona Gantaz'sch, displaying the Diplomatique Chique line. Tina is wearing a long, dark red gown with wide skirts and a tight black leather corset. The long gloves matching the gown allow her to display some alluring flesh at the shoulders below her short puffy sleeves. The embroidered flowers at the hem of her gown light up slightly in the dark, giving her a red aura that matches perfectly with her eyes.

Winona is dressed in a slender ivory dress that goes down to the ground, but her boots by Beautiful Rodian Bootwear peek out with every step. The sleeveless design and deeply cut decollete show off her neck and shoulders, while the long gloves give her an air of elegance. The wig is inspired by human hair-styles and changes colour throughout the day, from violet in the morning to neon-yellow in the evening.

The Diplomatique Chique line was produced by Cen'dun'Wen of Ida

Natural Beauty

The brown faux-leather of Lidea's tight-fitting corset, opera gloves and slender boots is made entirely of plant fibres spun and squeezed by hand on Remunzia and imported by an environmentally neutral cargo freighter. The green fabric of her dress mirrors the leaves of this world and provides a place for various plants to take root while the leaves provide a beautiful contrast, breaking up the base pattern. The vines extend all the way down to the ground and are woven together around the skirt, yet they require precious little maintenance, drawing most of their nutrients from artificial light and moisture in the air! Lidea's hair hosts several rare mosses rescued from the engine room of an Extremely Cheap Travel Inc. hyperspace bus, and cuts are available at all stores selling Natural Beauty products.

Her older Remunzian brother Cynos is wearing dark wooden clog-boots that put some 'oemph' in his steps and his brown pants and sleeveless shirt are decorated with the same bark pattern. Combined with his green fingerless gloves and hair, he looks as mighty as an oaktree! Cynos' luscious green locks hide one more secret: woven into his hair is a birds nest housing three lovely little songbirds and their hard-working parents. Thanks to their well developed scent, they will always be able to find their home, even as Cynos goes about his day.

Lidea and Cynos' outfits are part of the Natural Beauty line and are guaranteed to be environmentally friendly.

Magnificenent Machinery

Every piece of durasteel of Fecta Sockej had a slik curvature. The slim design of the leggs made look even longer. By moving the angle down to the ground, the body follows most of the galactic standarts of beauty. The life support casing was designed with eye of detail. Every line was implemented with a reason and every line added both function and beauty to the whole body.

The round plates which creates the arms are designed to emphasis the natural curves of the muscles around the arms.It made the slender cyborg look muscular at the same time.

The headlight was set into a perfectly fitting casing. The headflaps, designed to display the emotions of a Teprogrenus Fecta, were neatly seated in the head. They were nearly invisible at the moment as the model calmly walked by.

The Magnificent Manchinery cyborg line is designed by Danar Curasa, and not suitabe for prolonged use.

Traditional Warmth

Without stirring her kimono Himeko Kyorisa slowly walks across the catwalk. If her feet, sticking out from the lower hem, weren't clearly moving one would almost think she was being moved. The fur boa was a rare thing on Astrian clothing, as Stellaria had very few furred animals. But that was hardly what drew attention to the multi-layered kimono, no it was the way the spotlights reflected of the fabric. While the under-layers where made of silk, the upper-layer was made from a material that shimmered beautifully when the light hit and as the angle changed a rainbow of colours moved across it. The effect could be seen even better thanks to the way the model moved her umbrella.

Image

Her male counterpart, Kazuma Hanamizu, had a much shorter kimono with different lengths. His under-layers reached to his knees, a pair of trousers covering the rest of his legs. His upper-layer, made from the same material as Himeko's upper-layer, reached to his waist and was open at the front like an unzipped jacket.

Going back to the traditional style clothing from Stellaria these clothes where made for the cold climates, compared to the 40 degrees on Stellaria, that could be found on Unity and many other Union worlds.

With new sewing methods and new fabrics Charamiko Fashion's Traditional Warmth line was designed by Lyra Methila and Nataly Okushi.

Everyday Armour

*Twwwwzz* *dzzzzj*
*Twwwwzz* *dzzzzj*

The sound of servo's and heavy steps sounded through the room. At first sight, Danar Katara seems to wear more of a combat armour than actual clothing.

*Twwwwzz* *dzzzzj*
*Twwwwzz* *dzzzzj*

The metal plating does indeed offers excellent protection against most kinds of stabbing and light weapons fire. It is all part of the everyday armour line. Clever hidden servo motors made the suit easy to wear. The plating is made in the traditional polished yellow colour, making it suitable for many official occasions.

*Twwwwzz* *dzzzzj*

The different sockets offer good visible places to display the Consult and title of the individual. While the built-in rest option makes that the wearer can sit where she stands.

*Twwwwzz* *dzzzzj*

The build in communicators on the shoulders are resistant to the most extreme weather conditions, making sure you will never miss a meeting or call. To fully optimize their function they are fitted with a holo projector and locator beacon both allowing you to fully attend the meeting, and at the same time when something might happen due to foreign problems you can always be found.

*Twwwwzz* *dzzzzj*
*Twwwwzz* *dzzzzj*

The suit can be upgraded with a small shield generator for optimal protection.

Everyday armours must be custom made by the Everyday Armour Consult in order to make them optimal fitting. Damage to the communicator due to extreme weather conditions is not covered under warranty.

Stylish Mandalordlian

Image
This line, by a veolian art house known as Mazāka, was deliberately scheduled as one of the last lines to be shown. The art house is known for its provocative work, and has shown a remarkable lack of good taste.

The male model walking down the catwalk shows of his well-defined physique in a brown over-vest layered over darker brown vest. His sense of good style clearly shown through his choice of brown tie knotted with a simple triple-over knot. The ensemble is continued with smoothed brown pants, and Mandalorian boots with custom lettered profiles for left and right foot, allowing the model to express himself through his footprint while walking.

Together with a Vilour Weapon-shaped Accessory, the outfit is completed with a well-chosen top hat. The anonymity of the model is preserved through the clever use of a Mandalorian Battle Armour camouflaged helmet, offering the wearer a T-shaped view of the world while ensuring he remains part of the masses.

All the models made one final walk along the catwalk together, followed by the designers, each taking in the applause. No doubt many of those who worked here today would be receiving offers from various companies. The show had been one big success!

((OOC: Because of the cultural impact on Unity, the following worlds receive 1 (:ip) - Veolian Commonwealth, Tepogrenaian Consensus, Astrian Colonial Authority. I opened a topic on how things should be registered, but it'll probably involve making a story page.))
