[Shadow of War]

((OOC: This topic is private between the Unified Republic of Darya and the Stellarian Triad Federation))

Shadow dropped out of hyperspace on the edge of sector 15 -6.

He started broadcasting a moment later, right after he had ensured he had powered down his weapon systems.

"Shadow of War to Daryan control. I have arrived at the edge of your sector and await your pilot shuttle."

He then started waiting.

In the space that Shadow of War had jumped to there was a hyper space beacon a few hundred kilometres away. This beacon was sending out a grid pattern of what seemed to be a hyper queue around it self.

"Acknowledged Shadow of War welcome to sector 15 -6." A quick surface scan went out to Shadow of War from the beacon. "Shadow of War please take up position in the grid you spot is x 60 to 280 y 0 to 220 z -110 to 110 a shuttle will be with you shortly."

Now that he had some time it was clear that this was more than just a hyper space node as there was also a shuttle base attached to it. It seemed to be a small base just outside the main routes.

As he moved in to position he could also detect a transponder signal of an other vessel. It proclaimed to be the DRN Novgorod as he got closer it turned out to be and MTCF of approximately 5 kilometres in length from the Daryan Republic Navy. And it was parked in front of him in the queue.


Just before Shadow of War took his he got a another message. "Shadow of War please indicate where our shuttle can dock when you are in position."

((OOC: I assume that Shadow of War complies with the request of Daryan control so I made a bigger description.))

Shadow kept his position for a moment, confused by the Daryan coordinate system.

However a quick search on the holonet provided all the information he needed and he started to follow the instructions.

The time it took to do this was less than five seconds.

"Acknowledged control. Moving to designated position. Stand by for shuttle bay location."

He sent them the location of his primary shuttle bay and pulled up alongside the mass transit cargo freighter, dwarfing both it and the station.

When Shadow of War was positioned on the grid a second scan went out to him. This one seemed very interested in his weapons bays. While this was going on a 20 meter long shuttle departed form the station towards Shadow of War.

"Shadow of War you are in compliance with the regulations for foreign military vessels you may begin your jump when the Novgorod has made its hyper translation. The rest of the information will be provided by the shuttle. Have nice day."

The shuttle pulled along side Shadow of War heading for the indicated shuttle bay. "Shadow of War this is shuttle DRN-657465 it is our understanding that you do not have a bridge as is standard. Therefore we will remain in our shuttle and send you the information from there. Once aboard we will send you the advised route together with its navigational hazards."

During the docking procedure of the shuttle the Novgorod started issuing standard hyperspace clearing warnings. Thanks to the grid system Shadow of War was well clear of the indicated boundaries of the Novgorod. Witch began deploying a total of four one kilometre long quarter circle energy sails on port and starboard side. These began shimmering with a rainbow of energy as they were inserted into hyperspace before dragging the freighter with them into hyperspace.

When the Novgorod was gone Shadow of War received his second message form the shuttle. "Docking success, sending the data now. You are cleared for jump when ready. If you have questions about the route you may ask them now." A hyperspace calculation was send to shadow of war coming from the shuttle. It was a general calculation that would allow any competent captain to reach his destination very precisely once he had corrected for the eccentricities of his own drive.

As the Daryan shuttle entered Shadow's shuttle bay the occupants could see dozens of crafts arranged in neat rows on three levels. The crafts looked like modified versions of commonly used medical transports and search and rescue craft. There where a few transport shuttles as well. All the craft where clearly unarmed proving the where intended for humanitarian purposes.

Shadow of War was a bit surprised they knew he didn't have a bridge, but assumed they merely made a logical conclusion.

"Roger that. Pilot shuttle, heads up. I need to close the shuttle bay doors to transition to hyperspace. I will reopen them as soon as we drop out. What will be our ETA?"

After the Novgorod had jumped away and he had gotten the all clear, he started powering up his hyperdrives. The genericness of the calculations sent made it easy for him to input the data, what he lacked was easily calculated from the data and what he didn't need was discarded.

"You may want to hold on to something. This jump is going to be a bit more rough than your used to."

He warned the shuttle. While he had the systems that smoothed out travelling through hyperspace, they had a lower standard than what regular ships had. After all, he didn't have to worry about comfort like manned vessels did.

And then he made the transition to hyperspace. Slipping through normal space-time into the FTL space. Inside the Daryan shuttle shook around with the rest of Shadow of War, it smoothed out a little when the transition was complete but there still was a noticeable tremor.

"Understood. The base estimated a travel time for you of around one and a half hours based on your size and hyper signature."

The shuttle cycled down its engines to idle before shutting them off completely.

"Understood Shadow of War we will crank up our own inertial compensator."

After a few minutes in hyperspace the shuttle contacted him again. "You were not kidding when you said it would be a bumpy ride. Contact me when were almost there and ill start up my engines so you can be on your way swiftly."

"Roger that."

After an hour and a half Shadow signalled the Daryan shuttle they would be dropping out of hyperspace soon.

The Daryans could feel the shaking increase again and a moment later it disappeared completely. The shuttle bay door started to open again.

"Daryan shuttle you are cleared for departure. Sorry about the bumpy ride, thanks for the escort and have a nice day."

Shadow then switched to the local flight control channel.

"Shaskar control, this is Shadow of War. Requesting flightpath to Kisin docks and docking permission."

((OOC: I couldn't think of more things to do while in hyperspace so I moved us allong, hope you don't mind))

In fornt of Shadow of War he could see the Transportations hub that the daryans had set up around the gas giant Osin.

His sensor picked up allot of traffic around the second moon were merchant vessel were coming in and out in large numbers. It seemed like a big mess of allot of things moving around. But with in a few moments it was clear that it was actually very neatly regulated.

When he turned his sensors to the larger inner moon that he was nearest to he could see that the Daryan military was no joke. Many wedge shaped vessels were hanging around the docks erected in the orbit of that planet.

As soon as Shadow of War opened his doors a transmission went out form the daryan shuttle to the military base.

Thank you Shadow of War guidance will be up to local control now. Have a nice day. The shuttle then left the bay and set a course for Kisin.

"Shadow of War this is Kisin control you have been verified and cleared to enter Kisin orbit." A flight path was then transmitted to him. it was immediately clear that he was sent to a different part of the base than where the shuttle was going.

His approach lead him past some of the outer defence satellites of the formidable Kisin defences. as he approced he could see that among the outer docks there was an open berth next to a massive wedge shaped vessel of his approximate size.

"Shadow of War do you require or wish tug assistance to dock?" together with this message a flight space was given so he could estimate if he could make the turns needed to dock.

Seeing that in system flight ran like a well oiled machine was something Shadow could appreciate, even if it didn't come as a surprise.

"Negative Kisin control, assistance will not be necessary. Please confirm I have docking permission."

He cut his engines and made a burst of reverse thrust to slow his approach.

"Affirmative Shadow of War you have docking permission for berth SD-04." A swift calculation showed Shadow of War that this was the berth that he had seen from the distance.

As he got closer he could see what ship would be docked next to him and it wasn't just any ship. It was the Star of Darya the flagship of the Daryan Republic Navy a pair of long sturdy clamps held the ship firm in the dock so it would not go drifting off for some reason.

Shadow of War this is SD-04 control where can we put the boarding tube for your guests? And where can we anchor you so you don't drift off accidentally? came the message just before he would be entering the berth that was cleared for him.

"Roger that. Sending hard point and docking bay location now."

Shadow sent the data to the docks, highlighting his structural hard points and his front docking bay.

He swung his aft around so he was now travelling backwards. Firing his forward thrusters he slowed down further. At the same time he used his manoeuvring thrusters to close in on the dock. With short controlled bursts from his thrusters he carefully manoeuvred to his designated docking position.

Not entirely sure how strong the shock absorbers on the docks where, Shadow of War took it slow and steady. Once he detected the magnetic clamps where close enough, he activated the hard point magnets on the opposite pole. Using his thrusters to push off and slow him down, he cut all engine power the moment he detected he was locked in place.

As the docking tube connected, Shadow quickly looked up the atmosphere and gravity settings the docks had and adjusted his own systems accordingly. He pressurized his interior with the same atmospheric mixture the docks had.

Then he waited until he was asked permission to enter by someone.

"Shadow of War admiral Gorshkov will be with you later he was unfortunately on the other side of the dock when you arrived. In the mean time would you like to make use of dockside power to save on reactor mass?" if he accepted then a connection would be made for him from the dock.

After about half an hour Shadow of war could detect a life form moving down the access tube from the dock to him. When it reached the access hatch a message came form the person there. "This is Admiral Sergey Georgiyevich Gorshkov requesting permission to come aboard."

When Shadow of War opened the door for the admiral he could see that he was a mudry of sturdy build healthy green skin and a neat moustache that was greying a bit just like the hair that showed from under his admirals hat. A noticeable thing that was with him was an survival kit that could protect the admiral if the tube got damaged and lost pressure.

"That's a negative, dock control. Power connection will not be required."

Shadow opened the outer door for the admiral, when he arrived.

"Please, enter admiral Gorshkov." Shadows voice came from the intercom.

After the admiral entered the door closed behind him. A moment later the airlock's inner door opened and revealed a dimly light corridor.

"I am Shadow of War, it is a pleasure to meet you.

If you would please go to your right, after about one hundred metres a door will open to your left."

Shadow had a pleasant time speaking with the various Daryans. After he had let them of safely he undocked.

Proceeding on the instructions of the local control he left the system and the sector.
