Write-a-thon VII

Work

  • Jedi specialisation proposal
  • Out-of-Union vassal world
    • Staggered introduction (1 per 5 )
    • kosten around 10000-ish
    • Optional benefits: generate , +100 raw to choice per turn, etc.
  • Swap NPCs
  • Construction Fleets and “Teleporting” construction goods
    • Possibly think up some techs interacting with this
  • Co-ownership needs be thought out
    • Corporation shares with respect to increased costs
    • OOC vote auctions proposal
    • Base vote cost: 2
    • Buying votes in favour of debate outcome gives +2 phantom (that is, the spent counts as 2 higher)

Economics Rules

Influence and IP

  • Me and Mercury think we have a way of making politics more lively: short Debates – the cool 'one side wins' kind, not the boring 'debating takes forever' kind.
  • Discuss expenditure together with allies (Example: If you and your ally want to buy a vote from an NPC at 10 , each ally wants to pay 5 , instead of one of them paying 10 .)
  • spending should be much simpler and easier. what I noticed was that two players actually offered NPC's to buy their votes in the previous elections which was a good thing. However the NPC's responded with: We are willing to accept your IF you do this thing for me as well. For me this was the reason that I believe these offers failed and nobody tried to spend since... The problem is that the is an abstracted resource that is hard to earn but should be easy to spend. When an NPC is willing to accept the and still negotiates for something extra the will not be easy to spend and it works against the concept.
  • Make it easier to spend in votes through an OOC vote auction – this will remove the barrier of contacting each NPC separately, making it easier and quicker to vote and open votes.

Late game and Expanded Techs

  • Expanding on the Universe
  • Hybrid game developments: the companion of late game developments'. Not all worlds are at the late game stage, I think it is good to evaluate how the interaction between non-late game worlds and late game worlds is experienced.
  • Re(design|placement) of NCC and Prefab (ties in with Late Game maybe?)
  • Late game developments... “Again?” you think, but this really is a topic that needs more discussion – right now we only have settlements as the late-game choice. I think we need to revisit the point and see if we should change how we view the 'late game'? (Also, because Late Game Goals was really very empty of opinions.)
