Rings can be composed of millions of rocks to trillions of trillions of particles and it is not possible to settle on them. However it is possible to build large space stations and mine them. Rings count as having two zones in which Metals can be mined. These zones cannot be upgraded and no other activities can be undertaken here. Rings cannot contain an atmosphere or an ocean and cannot gain them trough terraformation or other technologies. Rings cannot have Focus.

Note: Asteroid Belts cannot contain Rings.
