This special project creates a Planetary Defence Zone without actually taking up a zone on the world's surface. This zone does not count toward the total number of zones on the world and can not house population. However, it does use up power like a normal Planetary Defence Zone, and it can be upgraded as if it were a normal Planetary Defence Zone.

A world can have only a single Planetary Defence Grid, and the project takes up 1 Orbital Capacity.
