Kawa no Michi
Kawa no Michi is one of the lightsaber Combat Styles. It's a style that finds its origins with the Astrians on Stellaria. During the start of the Gender War the male side had a large disadvantage as the female side had the warriors of the School of Blood. The men needed a way to fight the longer range their weapons had, to do this they looked to water.
Translating to 'Path of the River', Kawa no Michi uses fluid motions to seamlessly blend attack and defence. It mainly uses flowing cuts combined with fast moving dodges, never remaining stationary. But sometimes it will hit with powerful slashes overrunning the opponent like a tidal wave or precise stabs like raindrops. Like a liquid the style has no solid form, meaning there are no predetermined stances or motion sequences. A part of the reason behind this is because when the style was developed there wasn't any time to train complex swordplay manoeuvres, it was much faster to teach the mindset behind it and let the rest be filled in by the individual. This also proved useful since the opponent would never now how the user would come at them. With time a few techniques where added but the exact method of performing them was kept general to keep in line with the style.
