Your race is much larger than normal (i.e. 6+ meters tall/long). Because huge creatures are very strong in comparison with others, they have an easy time defending their world. For every 1.0 you gain a free Defence Force as your population easily overpowers smaller races. This defence force does not count against the total number of allowed defence forces on the planet.
