Gasses (Symbol: ) comprise of elemental gasses such as Oxygen, Hydrogen and Xenon, but also includes Methane, Tibanna Gas and various plasma's. It is used to sustain life on board ships and in space stations and to construct blasters and other energy weapons. Gasses are easier to collect from planets that orbit far away from their star as they will condense more easily, and they can be found in gas giants and nebula.

Gasses are collected in a Gasses Zone and are used to produce Weapons, Utilities and Vehicles. Additionally, they are used in the Mass Transit Cargo Freighters Special Good.

Gasses are easier to process at low temperatures where they become liquid. Thus, Cold orbits give a +10 production bonus to each Gasses Zone that lies in them. Likewise, they are harder to process at high temperatures due to increased pressure and a -10 production penalty applies in Hot orbits.

Examples of specialisations for Gasses are Tibanna Gas and Oxygen.
