Serrah is one of the few slaves of Nehket Aeka. She is well-versed in bookkeeping, and usually dresses both expensive and provocative.
Carreer
She is a member of the Bozzy Spine Infrastructure Committee since
67, holding the position of secretary.
She took over most of her mistress's duties as senator of the Veolian Commonwealth during the period her mistress was chancellor (
81-100). In this capacity, she negotiated numerous trade treaties and represented her mistress at the imperial court. Since then she has taken over most senatorial duties each time her mistress was elected chancellor.
Early life
This is an account of Serrah's early life, as she told it to a friend. This is not public knowledge!
“My view on life was changed when my owner at that time died when his fortress was attacked by an opposing Hutt. His men, most were ruthless bounty hunters, quickly grabbed as many valuables and slaves as they could, and fled. I was taken by a small group of them and was powerless to resist. Together with a few other slaves, I was thrown in the brig of a space ship. We flew for several days, and they were not kind to us.
I don't know how long we flew, but all of a sudden there was shouting and sounds of combat. Now you must understand, these bounty hunters were the elite troops of my previous master. But they stood no chance. The only thing I saw of the combat was a large veolian man, wearing a very ancient-looking armour, his eyes glowing brightly blue. He barged into the brig, bleeding from a cutting wound. The short struggle between him and our guard ended when the guard's back was broken by the veolian.
When the fight was over, the veolians unceremoniously stripped the bounty hunters and tossed out the bodies through the airlock. We quickly learned that there were only two veolians: a man and a woman. Together they had killed all seven bounty hunters.
The woman asked each of us what skills we had. They put four of us apart, and told the rest that they could have the ship, the weapons, and enough food and fuel to get to the nearest non-Hutt world. Then they gave four of us a choice: take the ship and equipment of the bounty hunters and be free, or come with them and be cared for for the rest of their lives. Then it dawned on me. I thought the Hutt were powerful, but they are weaklings. I had never in my life seen people so powerful, or so intimidating. In the end two of us choose to go with them, the rest choose freedom.
After a year of travelling, my new masters returned to Mirda. There, I caught the eye of my mistress' mother, who bought me as a gift for Aeka's 333th birthday.”
