The Jedi Council asked Ariana Danacia, Nathan Miodrass Asillion and Nebesnogo Sveta to travel to sector 17 -6 to investigate a group of weapons smugglers operating on the Union border. Several attempts by Union forces to catch the smugglers in the act have failed, and the Ministry of Justice has called upon the Jedi to investigate those responsible.

The smugglers were located heading towards Rymea in the Xim-Rymea system. The Jedi are tasked to head to Rymea and find out what happened. The three Jedi travel in the cargo hold of the Bulky Raven a cargo freighter that is owned by a friend of Jedi Master Qun Treen. Ariana Danacia arranges access to the Sundarian scanning grid. After some trouble with the captain of the Bulky Raven they head towards sector 17 -6. They continue in their own small vessel. The Sundarians at the monitoring grid can tell the group where they about the area where they are vanishing.

After talking with the Sundarians the Jedi head for Rymea. Port Rymea is a spaceport where a mercenary group called the Crimson Janissaries polices the place. In port Rymea the group heads in to a bar to try to get some information. Nathan finds out that the girl that owns the bar is an Ultramarine of the Slave Rebellion. After some misunderstandings and some stupid moves where Nathan tries to impress the girl the staff of the bar react aggressively by preparing to attack. The group decides to leave before they get in real trouble.

Since Port Rymea was a bust they decide to head to the area where the smugglers vanished. They reach the coordinates of 3641-Anuradha, a small system in the middle of the area. They find out that there are three vessels holding orbit around the star. Since they think it are the smugglers the Jedi decide to sneak in from behind one of the planets and get on one of the ships undetected to find out who owns these ships.

They manage to dock onto the ship unseen and sneak in to find the inhabitants. Nebesnogo stays on their ship for a quick getaway. While they head through a garden area they walk into a young human girl that comes out of a door and is singing about watering the garden. Ariana and Nathan did not expect this and have no luck finding out who she is, in fact talking to her only makes the situation worse.

The girl starts to run away and the two Jedi follow her. They end up in a class room with more children. The crew now thinks that they are there to take the children as hostages and the situation becomes more tense. After negotiating with the captain through the sound system and finally telling them that they are Jedi and not here to hurt them the Jedi surrender their weapons and are escorted to the captain.

The Jedi apologize for the situation and they share their reasons for being at the current location with the crew. The captain tells them that they are nomads that have also become victims of the smugglers. They say that they have created a program that can adjust the sensors to detect the smugglers. They are willing to share it with them if the Jedi do some things for them.

They want the Union to send aid in the form of 500 and 500 to the United Moons of Tunuarana in 14 -8. They have hit upon hard times after an earthquake hit one of the moons and are in need of support. Furthermore the nomads want access to the bozy spine and a promise that the technology is only used for defensive purposes.

The Jedi return to Union to propose the matter to several Union Senators and to report back to the Jedi temple.
