The Jedi council, represented by Jedi Master Monifa, sends Shebi Ajava and T'sal to investigate the assault on a prisoner transport on Unity. During the assault, which has been investigated by Unity Security so far, a small strike-force attacked the convoy and succeeded in extracting several criminals among which Tera Inogo. Since Unity Security is not making any progress after the months of time they had, the Jedi council has decided to assist in the investigation.
In his report, jedi knight Arbarox reported an approximate 12 hostile combatants opening fire on the transport's guards after the convoy unexpectedly took a detour. The attackes used both conventional blaster weapons and an attack with knockout gas grenades. The strike force seemed to consist of several specialists, at least a trandoshan, and someone with a poncho and bowler hat. They chased after a car, but this was a decoy and the hostile got away using a bomb.
Investigation
T'sal and Shebi Ajava started their investigation by requesting the full report from Unity Security. The report confirmed that the convoy car was removed from UTRACAS. Based on this detail, the duo investigates the traffic tunnel where the attack happened. There, they confirm that the UTRACAS system was tampered with, most likely to fake it into guiding the prisoner transport car into a side-tunnel and nearly onto a parking lot. T'Sal investigates the local UTRACAS hardware while Ajava investigates the parking lot.
From their findings it is clear that the UTRACAS system has been mucked with, and that the initially reported descriptions of attackers matches. Ajava discoveres a camera on the parking lot and retrieves the associated video from the day of the attack. The video shows little more than what is already known. T'Sal discovers that the ventilation system of the side-tunnel is not up to spec, but it was not purposely disabled.
The pair of knights follows up the UTRACAS lead. Looking into the records at the UTRACAS central station. With the assistance of Ysimir Wubble they quickly have access to the necessary logs and recordings. T'Sal discovers that the system was hacked, and an extra condition was added: when a red Lepo Astra hovercar enters the tunnel, the car 75 meters ahead of it would be replaced by a simulated entry in the UTRACAS system, while the original car was guided into the side-tunnel. A simple call to the renting company that owns the Lepo Astra shows that the car was rented by T. Voidhound at that day.
After these discoveries the Jedi report back to master Monifa and wrap up their investigation because most leads are very old by now.
