Construction
The Edge of Darkness is to be the Second Scanning fleet of the Sundarian Federation, which will mainly be tasked with Militairy reconnaissance on behalf of the Union.
The ships are newly commissioned, using highly modern designs custom build by the Astai Republic, outfitted with latest technology on navigation, scanning, mapping and probes, build by the crafty scientists of the Sundarian Federation. Their highly specialized crews have received their training and they are now ready to provide their services Unionwide.

Has received the following upgrade: Passive Hyperspace Monitoring Array in 
101, research into Sensor Vessels has also been completed in 113, increasing the capabilities of the fleet when searching for colony sites.

Operations
98: Fleet is put on high alert after an increased Mandalorian Threat, and has since been relocated to sector 8 -5 (near the ACA Sector), assuming border patrol duties in the area.
126: Assets of the Fleet partake in a Union strikemission in an attempt to capture Mandalorian Ships isolated in 9 -4.
