Coming from a diverse planet, Senator Afra Mesti Vanlind is a member of a minority race on Komès, which often surprises people who have not met her as unlike many of her species, she is culturally fully integrated into the Komès culture. She was formally the Kingdom's minister of justice and she took down several criminal corporations during her time.

Her success made her widely popular, leading many to believe they needed to get her out of the local politics before she became planetary ruler - as a result she was promoted away from her ministerial duties to become Senator for the Kingdom. She currently has her mind set on becoming Chancellor. There are some personal tensions between the Senator and Acehtoo as a result.
