Mirda is a the homeworld of the Veolians. It is a planet with a rather wet and hot climate, mainly due to it's proximity to Smi. This allowed flora and fauna to spring forth in abundant quantities. And even now, with a population of 38.52 billion inhabitants, large parts of the planet are lush forests or jungle.
Mirda has a counter-planet called Amird. Amird is not visible from Mirda, as the stellar heap blocks the view at all times. Both Mirda and Amird orbit Smi at the same distance, with the same velocity. Unfortunately, this does not present any opportunities for power transfer or beneficial interaction; as the stellar heap blocks any practical direct connection between the two bodies.
The Veolian Imperial Council is seated on this world.
Megacities
The enormous population on Mirda is mostly centered around the 13 megacities. These cities represent the bulk of the Mirdan population, with each of these cities having reached the 1.0 
mark.

Military Presence
Mirda is the home world of the Veolian Imperial Guard which, despite its name, is a full-scale army with a complete range of vehicles, crafts and combat droids. The Shebi Vyuha Legion also calls Mirda home, and is the house army of House Shebi.
The Mirdan Home Guard is a volunteer militia established for the defence of Mirda.
Flora and Fauna
With Mirda being a warm and wet planet, flora and fauna are abundant. Though evolutionary paths follow the same general routes everywhere in the galaxy, some of the plants and animals on Mirda make it truly unique. Most of the landmasses of the planet are covered in jungle, and even though several megacities and large industrial areas have been cleared, the jungle shows no signs of receding.
In fact, several of the larger cities have walls to slow down the creeping jungle, and regularly cut down new growth near the cities.
