The Veolian Race

[ D, T ]

[ Races ]

The Veolians are an omnivorous humanoid species originating from the planet Mirda. Their distinctive features skin colors in the blue-purple spectrum and, depending on their ancestry, horn-like protrusions or complete lack of hair.

In ancient history, the veolians were two distinct species: the veolus-alpha, and the nura. As far as has been determined the veolus-alpha were a rather brutal carnivorous species that mostly hunted in packs and possesed a rudimentary culture based around the hunt. The nura were a herbivorous species that survived the jungles of prehistoric Mirda by stealth and cunning. With the end of the last ice age, the two species came in contact. Through this union the Veolian species sprang forth.

Due to the cultural focus on ancestry and selective reproduction the veolian species is divided into a number of races. Each of these races is capable of reproducing with any other veolian race, and most (not all) of the differences between the races is in physical appearance. One trait shared among all races is the susceptibility to the peculiar genetic mutation in their species as Hemet.

Biology & Races

The Veolian lifespan and physical prowess are comparable to humans. They live for about 85 years, and are physically mature around the 14th year.
