The teprogrenus Fecta are the cyborgs of the race. They are one of the two subspecies of the Teprogrenaian Consensus. These people are altered so much with cybernetics that they got a build in life support system. When a teprogrenus is getting badly wounded or sick he will most of the time be revived with cybernetics, most of the time will a Danar be altered to a Fecta. This is part of their culture and no teprogrenus will be surprised by such an event as over 50% of the teprogrena are Fecta. For both ethical and practical reasons are most Fecta still humanoid just like the Danar. The flexibility of the Danar are if at al possible kept in the Fecta bodies.
Although every Fecta is customized in some way, most of the Fecta do have a basic design. This design includes:
- Head with optical sensor and sound detector.
- Protected backup sensors. If the head has been disabled, the backup sensor system would be activated. This system is inferior to the main sensors and because of the limitations of the brain can only one of the two sensor systems be active at once.
- Life support system. Fecta who have not a functional head any more have their brain moved to the centre of the body, together witch the other organs. This makes the life support system easier to maintain and the organic parts are better protected this way.
- Arm pockets. For storage of small items. Like basic equipment, tools or a message.
- Leg pockets. For storage of small items. Like basic equipment, tools or a message. These pockets are slightly bigger than the arm pockets
- Chest pockets. For storage of small items. Like basic equipment, tools or a message. These pockets are slightly smaller than the arm pockets.
Some common modifications of the design, to be better equipped for their work or for personal matters, are better optics with infra red or ultra violet sight or other places for the pockets. Some Fecta prefer to have the arm pockets at the side of the outer arm, or no pockets at all. The Fecta are also equipping some of their kind better than other Fecta most of the time. The mechanical body of a elite Guardian can be twice to three times the size of a normal Fecta and have four legs. Guards and soldiers might have a small shield generator and some build in weapons.
Thanks to the implants, the body is bale to hold up twice as long as a danar, mostly around the age of 320 the mental deterioration is setting in, and most teprogrenus fecta will get an age of 366.
