Sirip is a large moon orbiting Mirda in the Smi-Halek System. It's blue appearance is due to the interaction between expelled stellar matter and the moon's surface. On clear nights, one can see the impact banners flow across the surface of the moon at a leisurely pace.

This moon also offers a large amount of infrastructure required for the populous Mirda. As decreed by the emperor, all construction has taken place underground as to not disturb the peaceful visage of the moon. Currently, the moon features two power zones and two open market zones, and features the largest underground space port in the system.

In 144, the subterranean defence grid was finished. This network of deployable surface to space missile pods and damage control stations spans the whole moon. Because of the subterranean nature, the defence grid is not visible from space to the naked eye.
