Silver Forests of Remunzia

The Silver Forests of Remunzia is a sovereign state in Sector 12 -3. It is a Green Gerontocracy, meaning its leaders are chosen based on their age and it focusses on maintaining a balanced relationship with the natural wildlife on the planet.

First settled some three thousand years ago, the planet was abandoned after several natural disasters. It was recolonised three hundred years ago and has come to bloom since. The Remunzians are a peaceful people that despise war and destruction and promote living in harmony with nature.

Despite this seemingly cheerful outlook, they are prone to believing conspiracy theories, especially involving foreign influences on the planets youths. Remunzian politicians are usually motivated out of a strong morality and sense of ethics.

Heavy debates are raging in the system regarding the morality of terraformation, one faction holding that bringing life to dead worlds is a glorious thing while the other holds that this is a disruption of the natural equilibrium. The debates have escalated in recent years to a point where extremists groups have already committed to attacks on terraformation researchers and even bomb threats.
