The planet Nayi, named after an obscure mythological realm from veolian folklore, is a medium planet in goldilocks orbit. The planet features nearly continuous mountain ranges, jagged plateaus and strange rock formations all over the globe. It is unknown what geological process led to the formation of these features. The planet's unique surface structure is not conductive to rapid development.

There are several theories as to the origins of the unique geophysical features of Nayi. One major theory holds that the planet has an active core and complex magma convection has resulted in a unique surface pattern. But opponents of that theory point out that vault lines would be commonplace in the planet's mantle, and that the mountain ranges do not correspond to scanned vault lines.

To confuse matters, some evidence has been found of underground tunnels running throughout the planet's mountain ranges and upper crust. These tunnels seem to form a planet-wide interconnected network of underground chambers. Proponents of most theories are still unsure how these tunnels came to be.
