Kingdom of Meritonia

Meritonia is a sovereign state in sector 8 -5. It is a Constitutional Monarchy with an elected parliament, with a king as a symbolic head of state, but with no actual power. The Meritonian people held several off world colonies before the times of chaos, and some of the population is eager to reclaim these now that the system has returned to power, but in reality the Meritonian armies are unsuited for conquest and there are no plans for increased defense spending.

Meritonians are highly skilled builders and architects and have constructed some amazing feats of engineering, ranging from towers that pierce many miles into the sky to enormous space stations to beautiful temple complexes. It also houses the Meritonian University of Architecture and Engineering, one of the most prestigious schools of architecture in the galaxy.
