Komeritonia was a kingdom comprised of the territories of the Kingdom of Komès and the Kingdom of Meritonia when they were one kingdom. Some two centuries ago, Komeritonia, which was split up after Queen Elisabetha had twins, which resulted in a crisis of which one was the rightful heir to the throne. By order of their father, the kingdom was split upon his death, each child inheriting one of the kingdoms.
In both the Kingdom of Komès and the Kingdom of Meritonia there are voices for reunification, but they are a minority. The latest polls to the question: 'Should Komès and Meritonia be reunited into one country?' was answered 'No' by 53% of respondents, 29% answered 'Yes' and 18% answered 'Don't know' or 'No oppinion'.
Still, calls for reunification may have played an important role in the foundation of the Union.
