[ Hiocan Society ]
The earliest records of history show that the Hiocan had barbarian tribes around 4 thousand years ago. Each tribe fought for the limited resources on their dry home planet. Various cave painting show that they had spears, bow and fire. As he Hiocans have strong emotion there were a lot of wars. Prisoners were taken as slaves and violence was normal. The strongest man/female leads the tribe and tried to expand their territory. These barbaric times lasted for about 1,500 years.
The exact details are a mystery but in one tribe their leader Lotak did not want wars and made peace with the neighboring tribes. He preached about not letting you emotions taking over your control but use logic to make a wise decision. All the violence and slavery was banned and made place for respect and reason. He is seen as great philosopher and founder of the current Hiocan Society.
By working together, sharing resources the corporation of tribes grew. They tried and spread they faith but they were not welcome everywhere. Some tribes were jealous and started to make war on Lotak. From this time the suus mahna materials arts was born and became an important aspect of life. These so-called wars for enlightenment lasted two generations. Then most of the tribes say the light and there was a stable society which started to bloom.
Scientific progress was made quickly and the live standard became better. Technical developments were made. There were machines using solar, wind and steam energy and the minimal resources were used in the best way they could. Settlements, became villages, became cities and the life style changed quickly.
When technology reached the level of space travel the modern times begin. There is contact and with people from other planets. In the early modern time another race tried invaded Hio but their guerilla tactic on the dry planet made an end to that. After that the mandatory military training began and their defense power grew enormous. There have been some attempts but they failed. There were some problems with the Hutt as slavery does not exist, but the Hiocans are good diplomats and made arrangements.
The Hiocan began to colonize their twin planet Erau. In contrast to the scarce resources on Hio Erau wet planet seemed like a dream planet with a lot of life. A lot of people moved there and tried their luck. The population grew with the increase in available resources and has just recently somewhat stabilized. The economy is growing as are their technological deployments.
