Bluethread Financial Group
The Bluethread Financial Group is the largest private investment group in the Astrian Colonial Authority. They receive no government funding what so ever. An estimated 12 to 15% of the ACA's cash flow is done by the Bluethread Group, the companies they own and it's associates.
They own a majority of the shares of the Crystalline Optics Concern, the Radiant Systems Corporation and Actinide Material Industries, as well as a large amount of other smaller companies.
Internal structure
The Bluethread Group is divided into four different levels. Each level has it's own buy in amount for new members to join or upgrade from lower levels. For the upper two levels additional requirements apply. In each level profits are divided by the percentage of the total investment the member put in.
Small investment
The lowest level, it is also the largest with the most members. Members of this level are mostly smaller investment clubs and millionaires. Members of this level cannot choose their investments and rarely gather if at all.
Large investment
The second level, this level's members are large multi-millionaires and billionaires in addition to corporate investment groups. Members of this level can only choose not to invest in a particular endeavour. The amounts of credits dealt with on this level are above that of ordinary people.
Junior partners
The third level. Very few individuals are capable of buying into this level on from outside the Bluethread Group. The most recent one was Dana Lantria Asillion. This level requires more time from it's members then those below it, as this level actually makes decisions on what to invest in. For most members this is their employment. This level generally deals with fractions of 
and even reaches up to several .
Senior partners
The highest level, members of this level are some of the wealthiest people in the ACA. The amounts of money dealt with in this level are generally over 10 . This level also decides the path taken by the Bluethread Financial Group. This level has less then 100 members. All of them devote large portions of their time to the Bluethread Group. Most members of this level own companies of their own and bring them into the Bluethread Group's portfolio. A prominent member of this level is Dana Lantria Asillion.
Political standpoint
The Bluethread Financial Group purposefully avoids mixing in politics. The opinion of the ACA of other worlds makes no difference to them. This policy has let them reach their current size and has prevented the ACA from interfering with their business.
Economical Influence
Despite their lack of political interference, the sheer size of the Bluethread Financial Group gives them the ability to influence the path of the ACA's economy. By placing orders for large quantities of goods, they can draw companies to produce the goods they require. This has allowed the Bluethread Financial Group to be able to trade on an interstellar scale.
