Survey fleet for long-term scouting and survey missions
| (controlled by the Veolian Commonwealth) [ D, T ] |
The Ananta Scout Group is the first survey fleet of the Veolian Commonwealth. Built specifically with long-term mission in mind, the vessels are largely self-sufficient. The Ananta-class survey vessels feature a unique three-spoke virtual sensor dish system, allowing several formations of spread out vessels to record data which can later be combined to emulate a sensor dish with a much larger surface area than actually present.
The scout group counts fifty vessels, each 360 meters long, 115 meter wide and 32 meter high (not counting the spokes). With six decks each, and a crew of 425 per vessel, the complete scout group has a crew complement of 21250. The holonet relays used in the construction of the Ananta-class vessels were originally intended for use in actual holonet stations, but last-minute repurposing saw them used in the construction of fifty survey vessels.
