Nehket Aeka is the oldest unmarried daughter of [[Veolian Commonwealth#House Nehket]]. The Emperor granted [[House Nehket]] the influential office of Senator, and she fulfilled this role for four and a half years. House Nehket provides Aeka with a generous allowance out of the house's coffers. Since she is the oldest unmarried daughter, she has been assigned two of the house's best bodyguards.

Before here assignment as Senator, her family was pressuring her into marrying, but she was determined to hold off marriage until she found the perfect genetic mate. She has not found him yet. During an episode of [[Union Central News#Politicians Revealed]] interviewer [[Elrinka]] got her to publicly state that "she is ambiphilic with a strong inclination towards gynephilic, so she has no immediate desire to find a husband."

Nehket Aeka is the daughter of Nehket Etār and Shaghari Imakāna. Nehket Etār, Patriarch of house Nehket and Grand Duke of the Ghūnghata Isles, springs from a marriage between Lord Nehket Purvaj and Lady Shebi Mahana. Shaghari Imakāna, the second wife of Nehket Etār and Grand Duchess of the Ghūnghata Isles, is the first born daughter of Lord Shaghari Orilan.
===== Career =====
Next to being the current senator of the [[Veolian Commonwealth]], Nehket Aeka has held several positions during her career.

She held the position of [[Ministry of Defence|Minister of Defence]] in the cabinet of Chancellor [[Acehtoo|Acehtoo]] during the electorial period (:turns)41-60. As minister of defence, she participated in a diplomatic meeting between representatives of the [[Echani]] and the [[Union]], in the context of the [[mandalorian_echani_conflict]].

She held the position of [[Ministry of Foreign Affairs|Minister of Foreign Affairs]] in the cabinet of Chancellor [[Bolv'ar|Bolv'ar]] during the electorial period (:turns)61-80.

She held the position of [[Union Chancellor]] during the electorial period of (:turns)81-100. During her period as chancellor she enacted the [[Revised Safety of the Union Act]] and the [[Special Goods Regulation Act]]. She also proposed to use the [[bozzy_spine_recalibration]] savings to reduce taxes.

In the electorial period of (:turn) 121, she once again sits in cabinet as the [[ministry of foreign affairs|Minister of Foreign Affairs]] in the cabinet of Chancellor [[Ardios Eldrilith]].

After running again in the [[Turn 200 Union Elections]], she was elected chancellor once more with 11 votes in favour. During this period, she pushed forward with the discussion on slavery. At the end of the period, she made a statement to the senate the she would not run for chancellor for the [[Turn 220 Union Elections]]. One-and a half month later she was recalled to [[Mirda]], and [[Dewa Lanadi]] was appointed as Senator.
